From six staff in 1973, we’ve grown to over 40 and keep growing!
Going down the memory lane we see a small cottage in the back of the family home in the inner west – this was our very first office. A humble beginning but our vibrant team shared a big vision for a future of unlimited opportunity to help transform Sydney into the Sydney that it is today – one of the most liveable cities! Yes, to date we have worked on tens-of-thousands of projects.
Soon the demand was so great that the cottage could no longer contain our growing team, so from there in the mid-1980’s we moved to Parramatta to a small two story townhouse on Fennell Street.
In 1974, we commenced contract work for the Department of Lands and since then we have been aiding Government Departments, Building Companies, and Financial Institutions.
In 1981/82, we were responsible for the accurate positioning of the ‘Geodrill’ of the Sydney coast and associated with the Sewage Outfall Tunnels.
Those were big projects.
Our business continued to grow and grow and grow all through word of mouth, and soon we needed to move to larger and then again larger premises two more times as the staff grew to 20+ and Parkes Street is where we are today, a two-storey office plus a federation cottage next door.
We have seen some big things happen over the years. For example, in 1989, we expanded into digital mapping, and the firm was successful in being accepted to provide data to the NSW state cadastral database.
Many other contracts followed with various government agencies all looking to convert existing graphical data into digital format. We struck gold! Associated with this was the need to reformat and translate digital data between different CAD and GIS systems. Only a handful of firms in Sydney could do that.
During the 1990’s, with the Olympics arriving in Sydney, we provided surveying services to this major project as well as other major construction projects in Sydney.
To date, we’ve worked on over 50,000 projects and counting!
